When the world around us begins to quiet in the winter, I find that the celebrations of love really ramp up. When Jaclyn + Tyler got in touch with me about documenting their Walden Pond Engagement Session in December, I was thrilled! Sure, the winter equates to chillier weather, but what's better than a bundled up, snuggly love?!
I had never visited Walden Pond before this session, yet the excitement I had to explore this new location AND document an old friend in love was unmatched! Henry David Thoreau had a huge impact on me as a teenager growing up in a small town, thinking of all that was wrong with the world and dreaming about how I could live on my own terms - sounds extra angsty when I write it out haha! To explore this location as an adult - living deliberately - I was able to see even more beauty to this naturally serene area.
We walked on the path that went around Walden Pond, which, in the winter, was rather quiet and private, making it the perfect trail to explore for Jaclyn + Tyler's engagement session. They both lead with open minds and open hearts, and really leaned into the experience. They share a sweet, soft, sincere love that was so very easy to see, and I think you'll agree looking through these photos.
It was so much fun, and such a memorable experience for all of us! If you're nervous about having an engagement session in the winter, here's your sign to consider it! There's so much beauty to be explored and documented that's just waiting for you to take advantage of the opportunity! Get in touch today to start planning your deliberately loved-up engagement session!
